3D Scanner app getting ‘person mode’ in new update for the Galaxy Note 10+

Samsung has updated the 3D scanner application for the Galaxy Note 10+ smartphone. The latest update adds the person mode and brings improvements for the 3D model quality. Now you can manually pick the “Person” and “Thing” modes.

Thanks to the DepthVision Camera on the Galaxy Note 10+, with the 3D Scanner app, which allows you to take a 360-degree snapshot of an object and turn it into an animated GIF to send it to your friends. You can add the resulting scan to photos, or add the 3D scan to a video where it will follow your friend’s movements!

To use 3D Scanner, you will need to add it to Bixby Vision, as it’s part of the Bixby Vision Apps Mode. To do so, go to the Camera app and tap Bixby Vision in the upper-left corner.

In Bixby Vision, there will be two options at the bottom: Lens and Apps. Tap on Apps mode and you’ll see 3D Scanner. If it’s not already downloaded, you can tap on the icon to begin downloading.

You can also find it through the Galaxy Store if you search for 3D Scanner. Once it’s installed, simply open the app in Bixby Vision or from the home screen to get started with your 3D scanning phone.

The app also works on the Galaxy devices with ToF cameras, the Galaxy S10 5G and Galaxy A80.
