WhatsApp to drop support for iOS 10 and iOS 11 devices after October 24

WhatsApp has started to roll out the default disappearing message timer for Android users. It was announced back in early September this year and allows users to set all the individual chats on disappearing mode. This is a default function and users can manually disable it if won’t feel convenient using it.

It’s one of the privacy features that automatically deletes messages, media, and links in chat after a set duration of time. Besides, this update has brought chances in two sections that are shown in the preview image below.

WhatsApp default message timer

You can clearly see in the image, users will be getting two new options for disappearing duration- 24 hours and 90 days. Furthermore, the new default message timer is introduced in the WhatsApp chat settings.

If you enable this function, the messages will be removed after the set duration for the new contacts and chat. Still, it won’t affect the existing conversion and keep them conserved. Besides, if you want to check this feature whether it enabling in your device or not- Open WhatsApp>> Select any chat>> tap on the name and here you can see the disappearing mode. Tap on this function to see the changes.

Availability:

WhatsApp beta for Android with 2.21.21.3 version is installing this function in the device. However, only specific Android beta testers are receiving this feature at present. Anyhow, if you’re on the same version and don’t have access to this feature, kindly wait for the next update.
