Battlegrounds Mobile India may not launch as government demand scrutiny of Krafton’s deal with Tencent

The rumored release date for Battlegrounds Mobile India is approaching, and the game seems to be getting a lot more attention from members of the Indian government. Lok Sabha MP from Nizamabad, Telangana-Arvind Dharampuri wrote that the Minister, IT-Ravi Shankar Prasad is the upcoming launch of Battlegrounds Mobile in India.

A letter sent on June 2 states that Dharampuri has submitted an opinion to this Nizamabad-based public activist regarding Battlegrounds Mobile India, Sai Kumar, according to Zee News.

Although the letter did not call for outright banned games, it notes that the issues that have been brought to Dharampuri are serious and that governments should take a closer look at this.

According to Kumar’s representation about Battlegrounds Mobile India, while developer Krafton has stated that all data in the game will be stored in India and Singapore, it also allows for international data transfers.

These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of the South of Korea, which Krafton is located. Dharampuri also asked the Union Minister to take a close look at Krafton, invest and agree with Tencent for the sake of control.

A call to ban Mobile Battlegrounds India, then, late last month. Back in May, Arunachal Pradesh’s MLA Ninong Ering called the game about banning what it basically is, in that it is essentially a re-release of mobile PUBG, banned in the country last year.

MP Abhishek Singhvi also asked for the games to be banned, which stated that the Battlegrounds Mobile issue in India would lead to Tencent’s return to the Indian market.

Recently, Krafton apparently quietly accepted Battlegrounds Mobile, India’s PUBG Mobile, press release, in honor of the game’s missed, 20 million initial sign-up. In addition, the company condemned racist comments against mobile players in PUBG and other participants in the esports scene in the game.
