With the start of the RMR-2021 season, Valve decided to revise some of the rules for admission to CS – GO tournaments. Now cheaters can take part in them.
Regional Major Rankings (or RMR) are regional qualifying competitions. By participating in them, teams gain points, on the basis of which teams will be recruited for larger Counter-Strike Global Offensive tournaments.

Previously, cheaters were not allowed to participate in tournaments sponsored by Valve. According to the new rules, a player cannot participate in a tournament if the VAC-block (Valve anti-cheat) occurred less than 5 years ago or at any time after the first participation in the tournament (including at the qualifying stage).
Thus, players who received a ban earlier than 2016 and have not yet participated in professional matches will be able to enter tournaments. However, Valve reserves the right to deny participation to a player for any other reason. Three RMR tournaments are planned for this year.
CS – GO was released in August 2012 and subsequently became a shareware game. Players can exchange items obtained in the game or display them on the marketplace. Recently, users have been complaining about the Valve anti-cheat system. In their opinion, cheaters go unpunished.
