BEFORE YOU BUY
If you own Final Fantasy 7 Remake on the PlayStation 4, then you may be able to upgrade to the PlayStation 5 version for free. However, there are some confusing restrictions involved.
You can upgrade your PlayStation 4 copy of Final Fantasy 7 Remake for free on PlayStation 5 if:
- You purchased Final Fantasy 7 Remake for the PlayStation 4 either digitally or physically
You cannot upgrade your PlayStation 4 copy of the game for free if:
- You downloaded the game for free via PlayStation Plus
- You own the physical edition of the game, but you own the digital, discless version of the PlayStation 5
In either case, the Final Fantasy 7 Remake Intergrade Intermission episode featuring Yuffie Kisaragi must be purchased separately if you are upgrading. That content does not come with the free upgrade of the PlayStation 5 version of the game.
STANDARD EDITION
When you purchase the physical edition of the standard version of Final Fantasy 7 Remake Intergrade, it comes in a PlayStation 5 game disc case with a reversible inlay.
The physical version of the standard edition comes with Final Fantasy 7 Remake Intergrade on the disc, however, the Intermission episode featuring Yuffie is provided as a download voucher.
If you pre-order the standard edition digitally via the PlayStation Store, you will receive a Cacstar weapon for Yuffie.
