Over the summer Google allows to stream Stadia games from an LTE/5G connection, but it was in experimental mode. Now, Google Stadia allows you to stream games from mobile data outside of experimental mode.
Previously, users could play without Wi-Fi by going to experimental options but now this option has come into the “Performance” tab.
For mobile data users, Google reminds users that “enabling this option may increase your mobile data usage up to 2.7 GB/hr,” and this is for streaming at 720p.
Once the toggle is enabled, you can play Stadia games using mobile data and you will see a new icon on the main screen. Specifically, you have to use a wired or Bluetooth controller to do this because the Stadia controller needs a Wi-Fi connection.
