The new update significantly expands the online component of the game. Previously, players could only play a limited set of 10 mini-games online.
Super Mario Party is now playable in Mario Party (board game) mode. In it, up to four players take turns competing with each other and moving along the playing field. He also added Partner Party, which is similar to Mario Party but pits two teams of two against each other. These modes now support online play.
In addition, 70 of the 80 mini-games available in the game are now playable online. Thus, with the latest update, the number of games available has increased by 7 times. Both public and private matches can only be played with a Nintendo Switch Online subscription.
