PS5 players are reporting that the vibe of dual sense can now be felt in PS4 titles. It seems that the PS5 controllers from the update feel very close to the Dual Shock 4 Rumble that players get when they play most games from the previous-gen console.

Games like Rocket League and Godfather War have used the Thunder system when it came out on the PS4, so now the PS5 can mimic the same feeling thanks to this new update.

According to a Reddit post, players are reporting an overall improvement to gameplay when it comes to playing PS4 games on the new console. In one comment, a user said “It’s changed the way the DualSense vibrates when playing PS4 games, something that was always significantly weak for some reason. The haptic feedback now more closely emulates the feeling of those DualShock 4 rumbles.”

When the PS5 was officially launched in November 2020, players shared their concern that the vibrations on the Dual Sense seemed weaker when playing PS4 games than previous dual shock controllers on the PS4 system. Dual Sense uses feedback technology to create a sensation of thunder in one’s hand while playing next-gen games.

When it comes to playing PS4 titles on the new system, it comes from the old console so they feel different. However, players have noted that the rumble on Dual Sense does not mimic the feeling of PS4 controllers.

The latest patch for the PS5 includes many changes to the PS5, such as adding external hard drives to the PS5 games store, sharing the game between the PS4 and PS5, and even one-touch play to turn on your TV while the PS5 is on. It is strange that Sony did not mention the adjustments made to the Dual Sense Hepatic response on their blog. Those who have a PS5 want to check out the improvements made on Dual Sense while playing PS4 games.
