Sony has posted a list of the most downloaded PS Store games for April on PS4 & 5 consoles on their blog. The back half of April saw titles like MLB The Show 21, NieR Replicant, and Returnal all launch within days of each other – a busy two weeks. Glad to see these newcomers alongside chart-topping regulars like FIFA 21, Black Ops Cold War, and Grand Theft Auto V.

At the end of April, there were several new releases. Returnal exclusive Roguelike (or “roguelike”) game for the PS5 console. Former Sony exclusive MLB The Show 21 is a baseball sports simulator that also appeared on Xbox consoles and was included in the Game Pass subscription. Also released is NieR Replicant Ver. 1.22474487139, a prequel to NieR: Automata (2017).
MLB The Show 21 topped the US / Canada charts on PS5 consoles, while roguelike Returnal hit the top three. In Europe, it gave way to the cooperative project It Takes Two.
