PUBG Mobile developer Krafton show off its hyper-realistic virtual human

Krafton, the developer of the battle royale game “Jedi Survival”, recently promote a “virtual person” named Ana, with the goal of helping to build Krafton’s web3 ecosystem. Interestingly, Ana is built with Unreal Engine technology, the development engine owned by Epic Games, the maker of PUBG rival Fortnite, and the two companies have had legal disputes in the past.

Krafton says Ana has “highly advanced face-fitting technology” that “subtly expresses the movement of the pupils, fine muscles and wrinkles of the face, and enables natural joint movements throughout the body.” At the same time, things like “advanced speech synthesis” Deep learning techniques have been used to create an artificially intelligent voice for Ana so she can act and sing like a real human being.

It is unclear how Anna will be used by Krafton for web3 purposes, with speculation that it could be leveraged to facilitate blockchain and NFT-related work. In a press statement, Krafton said only that it expects Anna to “capture the interest and popularity of Gen Z around the world,” which it will do in part through “original music tracks” and other means across the entertainment landscape.

Krafton said it will reveal more details about Anna later this year, including “a unique storyline.”Maybe many players may not care about this and just want to play the game, Krafton is also developing a new game – “The Callisto Protocol”, which is a new survival horror from the creators of “Dead Space” The game will launch on PlayStation 4/5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S and PC on December 2, 2022.
