Returnal shooter roguelike video game getting its first update with multiple stability bug fixes

Returnal always seemed like the biggest lock to hit its release date. While Sony was uncertain about the dates for games like Ratchet & Clank: Drift Apart and Horizon Forbidden West, it was set on the March 19 release date of the third-person shooter.

It has also consistently featured in sizzle reels over the past few months, making it look like it’s relatively safe from delays. Unfortunately, Sony delayed it some months from 30th April to allow developer Housemarque to polish the game. At the moment, this list is starting to look quite similar to our list of the most anticipated PS5 games.

Finnish developers at Housemarque have recommended disabling auto-updates so as not to lose progress in Roguelike (or “roguelike”) Returnal. Released exclusively on the next-gen PS5 console, the Returnal roguelike has received many accolades from the press. However, the players are not so happy.

Users have reported technical problems, as well as the inability to save their progress in a sufficiently long game. The developers heard the players, a new patch was supposed to fix the problem.

Returnal 1.3.6 patch

  • Multiple stability fixes addressing rare crashes.
  • Fixed issue with pre-order suits occasionally blocking items and doors.
  • Fixed incorrect healing behavior.
  • Fixed issues with custom controller mappings.
  • Numerous minor fixes.
  • Fixed issue with corrupted saves game.

A patch has been released. Messages began to appear that the patch did not rid the game of bugs, but saved the players from saving. Some managed to recover them from the cloud, but a lot of data was lost forever.

The new patch 1.3.6 should be out today. The developers have promised that he will fix the problem with saving and blocking progress in the game due to the use of a suit that was issued for pre-order. Previously, players attacked with negative reviews of Returnal and improved the rating of the game .
