Here’s the solution for Call of Duty Mobile app crashing on Android smartphones

While using an application, suddenly a new issue has popped up which is causing apps or games to crash sometimes while accessing them. After a large number of users are affected by this bug, they have started to report about it on different platforms such as Twitter, Facebook, Reddit, and others.

It is emerged due to the issue in the Android System WebView which is used to display web content. As per the reports, the apps which are crashing include Google, Gmail including Games like Call of Duty, Clash of Clans, and more.

It is not only affecting a limited or unexpected app but the problem is reported by Call of Duty Mobile players with Android System WebView causing occasional crashes for almost every multiplayer game on Android devices.

Most of the games crash on smartphones while attempting to launch the game or while playing in public Multiplayer matches. Similarly, the games keep freezing and eventually crashing. Also if users try to join a friend’s lobby, it shows an error to join and then automatically disconnects from the server.

Meanwhile, Google has also addressed the issue and is working on a fix and the source was identified as WebKit. Also, there is a temporary solution provided by the company in order to solve the issue and if you are facing such a problem on your smartphone then you can try it as a temporary fix.

To get rid of the app crashing problem, head towards the Settings of your device and then go to Apps. Head to the Android System WebView and then click on the hamburger menu on the top right. Lastly, hit the Uninstall Updates button.

Google is also working on the permanent fix for this problem which is rolling out in the form of an update that brings a fix for the app crashing issue. However, the update is currently rolling out in batches, so it may take some time to reach your device. You can also check manually for the latest version of the Android System Webview app which comes with bug fixes.
