Sony showed off 14 minutes gameplay for upcoming Horizon Forbidden West during State of Play

Recently, Sony unveiled 14-minute gameplay for the upcoming Horizon Forbidden West, and protagonist Aloy has plenty of new gadgets on his sleeve. Surprisingly, Sony and Guerrilla Games did not reveal a game release date, which was originally planned for a 2021 launch.

The surprising omission led to speculation rumors that it might be delayed until next year. Since we are halfway through the year, it makes sense to get a release window for the game if we want to start the game before the end of 2021.

The new entry features a grappling hook, a diving mask that allows you to swim underwater, and a glider similar to The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild.

The first entry, Horizon Zero Dawn, was launched around Breath of the Wild and because of that, many critics and fans did not help compare it. After all, both are open-world action games with a focus on combat, exploration, and inventory management.

One of the things fans love about Breath of the Wild is the gliding mechanic, which allows players to cross the map safely and quickly from high structures. Now, Horizon uses its own version of the Forbidden West Glider.

Sony has reiterated that Horizon Forbidden West is a PlayStation Exclusive only for PS4 and PS5. Guerrilla Games said more details will be revealed later, so another update is likely to come later this year.
