Google Lens now appear in Pixel Launcher’s search bar

Google Lens has started appearing simultaneously in the new test in the search bar of Google Assistant as well as Pixel Assistant. For the past few years, the Google search bar on Pixel Launcher had a more consistent design, providing the ability to quickly find or activate the Google Assistant.

The “G” of the search bar also serves as a fun extra surface for artwork and animations related to a particular day’s Google Doodle.

According to 9to5Google, Google is testing a new design tweak for the Pixel Launcher search bar and will add the logo of the (aged) lens to the right of the button used to launch the assistant. As you might expect, tapping this button launches directly into the Google Lens app, similar to the same Lens button in the Google search app’s main search bar.

Prior to the launch of the redesign, some noticed that the assistant button in the search bar did not appear to be in the right place, as seen from the bottom, very visible on the left.
