Google Messages with RCS feature has become a huge headache for the users residing in India due to ads. The application has bulged the surface with a large number of advertisements in a single day. Even if the users are turning to the Spam Protection feature, they can’t get solve the issue. The reason behind this issue is the RCS function of the app.

What is RCS Feature?
Google has explained in its own words what does the RCS (Rich Communication Services) means and how does it prove to be helpful?
“Millions of businesses rely on SMS to communicate with mobile consumers. Credit card fraud alerts, flight status updates, and package delivery notifications are common examples of business-to-consumer SMS.
RCS (Rich Communication Services) upgrades SMS with branding, rich media, interactivity, and analytics. With RCS, businesses can bring branded, interactive mobile experiences, right to the default messaging app.”
However, the RCS feature of Google Messages turned out to be a big problem for users in India. According to them, several verified Business accounts keep on sending a bunch of ads to the application. These Businesses include Kotak Mahindra Bank, Bajaj, Finserv, Buddy Loan, Policy Bazar, and more. Although, users are trying to block and report spam which could only limit some ads. A permanent solution is to turn off the RCS feature for the Messages.
