Google Photos now allow users to add photos and videos to an album even in the offline mode

Although Google Photos is changing the offline gallery app in many smartphones, it is still an online online-first app. Your photos are backed up to the cloud and you can access them at any time from any device.

And you can edit your photos and add some effect to them, all in the cloud. But because of the app’s online-first nature, it wasn’t possible to create albums or add content to them unless you were online, now, it’s possible.

Now, the Google Photos app allows you to create new albums and modify existing content, including or remove content from them, without an internet connection. When online albums work best, so whatever you edit will be synchronized with Google’s cloud as soon as online returns, and it also works with images that haven’t been backed up yet – when you Upload online.

But you don’t really have to be online to change that. This is great because sometimes we don’t have access to Wi-Fi or mobile data, this is how life works, and if you want to take a photo while you’re on the fly and add it to an album, you can do this.

You don’t have to enable anything or do anything else, just create and modify albums if albums are offline. You can try updating to the latest version of the Google Photos app via Google Play.
