Netflix working on a new timer feature for Android devices

Netflix is the over-the-top (OTT) content platform that offers a variety of content streaming including movies and web series. This OTT platform is famous among users as it offers numerous TV shows and movies in a single place. Users can stream Netflix content on various devices such as TV, PC, smartphones, etc.

Netflix is a paid service and users have to pay some amount and get a subscription to Netflix in order to stream content. As it is a paid service, it also offers many features for a better user experience. And now as per the latest news, the company is planning to add one more feature.

As per the latest news, Netflix is testing a new feature that will allow users to set a reminder for viewing content. The new feature will let the users decide the time for which the content will be viewed and after the time gets over, it will automatically shut down Netflix.

This feature will be useful if you fall asleep while watching Netflix and it will also save your data and conserve the battery life of the Android device, on which you are using it. As of now this feature is limited to select Android users and will soon be available globally.

If it is available on your device you can set it by following the steps given below:

  • Choose and play your favorite TV show or movie on your mobile device.
  • In the upper right corner, subscribers will see a clock icon that is labeled Timer.
  • Tap on Timer.
  • Select 15, 30, 45 minutes, or ‘Finish Show’.
