The latest information from WABetaInfo has claimed that the new changes will also enable the possibility to upload media in your status updates, even if you send pictures, videos, GIFs to WhatsApp chat.
In the above screenshot, you can see that when you send media in a WhatsApp chat, you can also select different recipients, including status. However, this feature is already available when you take a picture from the Camera tab.

Because of the redesigned interface, you can select different recipients directly in a WhatsApp chat. Still, the feature is under development and the company is planning to release this feature in future updates.

WhatsApp is constantly working on bringing new features and customization options to improve the user experience. Now, the company is releasing a new update for its users through Google Play Beta Program.
Users can identify the new beta update via build version 2.21.25.19. The latest beta update introduces an Edit recipient feature for WhatsApp beta testers. Currently, this new feature is under development. You can check this option after installing the latest beta.
Previously, in the WhatsApp beta version of the Android 2.21.25.6, we’ve seen a hidden reference about the new layout while sending media. Now, the latest beta update brings an edit recipient feature before sending the media.
As per the screenshot shared by WABetaInfo, it seems the sending media section contains a list of contacts and groups. It appears when you click on the recipient’s name in the drawing editor section so when you edit media in the drawing editor, you’ll be able to select people and send media, even if you’re already in a different chat.
Currently, the Edit recipients feature is not available to everyone as it has been rolled out to select beta testers, so other users need to wait for the new beta update.
