Identified through build version 2.21.9.10, the update introduces a playback speed feature for WhatsApp beta testers. Currently, the company is developing this feature to make it compatible with audio messages.

According to the video shared by our mate WABetainfo, WhatsApp is working on introducing a playback speed button for forwarded voice notes. Previously, Whatsapp released this new feature for voice notes by which you can play it at different speeds.

We can define an Audio message, simply as a forwarded voice note. You cannot speed up the audio if you’ve forwarded a voice note because the playback speed button is not available, but a new feature will be introduced later.

However, the feature appeared in the recent beta version of WhatsApp for iOS. Currently, the feature is under development and will definitely release in the next beta version of WhatsApp for Android.
