WhatsApp will soon allow chat transfer between different operating systems

According to reports, in the past month, WhatsApp has been developing a new feature that allows users to transfer chat history to other platforms in response to crashes issue when users are not able to restore the chat history while switching to another operating system.

If users switch from iOS to Android, they cannot retrieve chat from iCloud on the Android version of WhatsApp. Meanwhile, the backup cannot be restored from Google Drive to the iOS version of WhatsApp, users cannot transfer chat after switching to iOS.

According to WABetaInfo, WhatsApp is working on a new feature that makes chat transfer between different operating systems easier. Conversely, after switching from iOS to Android or Android to iOS, the user will get rid of the problem when the chat is transferred.
