According to information the new option allows users to play and pause the voice recording before sending it. Previously, you could only stop recording voice notes, but WhatsApp has now introduced a new pause button. After tapping the pause button, it will be possible to resume recording voice.

Furthermore, WABetaInfo claims that the facebook-owned company has started rolling out WhatsApp pause and resume voice recording feature alongside a new update that comes with build version 2.22.6.7. This update is currently released for certain beta testers, thus, regular WhatsApp users will have to wait for the company to check its stability.
