It is reported that the annual output of Tesla’s Berlin Gigafactory is estimated at 500,000 vehicles in the first phase, and Tesla is preparing to install IDRA’s eight Giga stamping presses in the first phase of the factory to produce 500,000 vehicles per year.

Depending on the Giga press specifications, each device has a cycle time of about 80 to 90 seconds, resulting in 40-45 complete castings per hour. At this rate, Berlin can produce around 1,000 castings per day. In addition, Tesla plans to hire about 12,000 people for the first phase of the Berlin Gigafactory.

Moreover, Tesla’s super factory in Shanghai started construction in 2019, began to produce Model 3 at the end of that year, and began to produce Model Y after the completion of Phase II the following year.
