Samsung One UI 5.0 Bugs:

  • One UI Home app crashing
  • Samsung Pay/Google Pay not working
  • Notification problem
  • Recent app opening in Landscape
  • Battery drain
  • Google Drive upload issue
  • Issues related to Good Lock and other apps due to compatibility

Let’s talk about them in detail.

  • The One UI Home app is crashing repeatedly, likely due to compatibility with the Android 13 version.
    • Workaround: Some users suggest, Wiping data and cache in the One UI home app, turning off the screen, and then turning it back on.
  • Samsung Pay/Google Pay app not working, it is a known issue, Samsung confirmed at the One UI 5.0 beta program announcement in the forum. The issue is likely not working due to the proper play store certificate in the Google Pay case.
  • Notification problem, some users are facing delays in the notification, some say, they are not receiving notifications until they open the app. In some cases, the notification bar is not appearing for any app.
  • Recent app opening in the landscape, as reported on the official Samsung community, the recent app section is force opening in landscape mode even there’s portrait mode activated.
  • On the One UI 5.0 beta, some users are facing battery drain issues, which is very normal on Beta builds due to limited knowledge of the app behavior.
  • Google Drive is not uploading images, users are facing issues during uploading images/videos on Google Drive, and some are facing slow speed even though they have high-speed internet.
  • Compatibility issues, the One UI 5.0 is based on Android 13, not all apps are compatible with Android 13, due to this most Good Lock apps and other apps are crashing on the Beta One UI 5.0 build.
