Apple removed 5W power adapter and EarPods from all the iPhone models

Apple in its event announced that it is going to remove EarPods and power adapter from the box of iPhone 12 models as a part of its environmental initiative. But now it seems that apart from the iPhone 12, older iPhone models will also come without these accessories.

VP of Apple’s Environment Policy and Social initiative, Lisa Jackson explained the companies plan to reach 100% carbon neutral footprint by 2030. As per this initiative, Apple is removing EarPods and power adapters from the iPhone models.

“As part of our efforts to reach our environmental goals, iPhone 12 and iPhone 12 mini do not include a power adapter or EarPods. Please use your current Apple power adapter and headphones, or purchase these accessories separately”

Despite the excluded accessories, the iPhone models will come with a new USB-C to lightning cable in the box which will be compatible with any USB-C charging hardware. Although you can get all the accessories in the box if you purchase an iPhone from a third-party store

The customers can use their existing power adapter to charge their iPhones. There are also third-party options available in case you are the first time iPhone user. The company itself offers a new 20W power adapter for $19.
