Gigabyte’s LHR series products should now be available to the first customers. The bad news is that there is no easy way to distinguish them from existing models. Gigabyte only released the second revision (Revision 2.0) of the entire GeForce RTX 3060 product portfolio, including AORUS Master, Vision OC, Gaming OC, and Eagle OC/non-OC series.
“LHR (Low Hash Rate) Version” is listed on the official website of each model, and there is no description in the “Specifications” label. GALAX at least provides mining hash rate data. In theory, this can help customers understand the meaning of LHR.

The lack of NVIDIA’s official guidelines for the naming of RTX 30 LHR series products will undoubtedly lead to confusion. Finding available models can be a problem, but only for those who are really interested in the model to buy.
Otherwise, gamers shouldn’t really care that their cards are variants of LHR. NVIDIA internally promises that the RTX 30 LHR series will have the same game performance, and the hash rate limiter is only applicable to cryptocurrency mining. At the moment, we don’t know if this only applies to Ethereum and its derivatives or more broadly cryptocurrencies.
Compare the two revisions side by side, suggesting that the design of each revision remains unchanged. There is also no change in the specifications or layout of the display connector. The PCB design may change, Gigabyte did not describe this. Of course, each of these cards has a new GA106-302 GPU, which is a variant of LHR.
