In July of this year, OnePlus announced the first pair of truly wireless earphones, along with the OnePlus Nord mid-range smartphone. According to Twitter informant Max J., the company is currently working on a more affordable version of OnePlus Buds.

Max J. says that future true wireless earphones will be called the OnePlus Buds Z. But this isn’t the first time the OnePlus Buds Z name has appeared on the Web.
Earlier this month, the OxygenOS 11 open beta for the OnePlus 8 series also hinted at the existence of a pair of cheaper, true wireless earphones called the OnePlus Buds Z.

The price of the OnePlus Buds Z is $80 in the US, so the price of the next OnePlus Buds Z could be less than $50. They are expected to have a design similar to the OnePlus Buds, but probably inferior in other areas such as sound quality and battery life.
The release date for the OnePlus Buds Z hasn’t been announced yet, but wireless earphones may be announced with the OnePlus 8T in late September or early October.
