Oppo might also launch smart tags alongside the Oppo find X3

The Smart Tags are the small Bluetooth tracking device that can be attached to your accessories such as keys, backpacks, wallets, and more in order to keep track of them. They first came to light as Apple AirTags. Although, as of now there are questions if the company will launch them or not.

While the Korean tech giant Samsung has unveiled its latest flagship line up called the Galaxy S21 a few days ago, along with the new smartphones the company has also launched a Bluetooth tracking device called Galaxy Smart Tag.

It seems that the smart tags things are getting more attention as the latest news from LetsGoDigital suggests. As per the report, Oppo is also working on the Smart Tags as the company has recently filed for a patent in China for a Bluetooth smart tag locator.

The patent shows some images related to the tracker from all sides. It shows that the smart tag will come in a squarish design with rounded corners. While there is no hole available for hanging it with the tracking accessories so it is not known yet, how this device will work. In addition, there is a small hole in the corner probably for the light. The Oppo smart tags are said to come along with its upcoming flagship device, Oppo Find X3.

Samsung Galaxy Smart Tag is 4 x 4 in size and the smart tag from Oppo is also expected to have a compact size. While it remains to be seen, at what price this new device will come in order to compete with Samsung Smart Tags and if launched, Apple AirTags.

The smart tags use Bluetooth for tracking the accessories and can easily locate lost things via your smartphone with a dedicated app. It can also be used to get find your phone instead if you lose it. Although the importance of the smart tags will be only known once they are available in the market.
