AMD 4.06.10.651 chipset driver released, brings USB4 support

According to the latest report, AMD has just released the latest chipset driver, version 4.06.10.651, mainly for the Ryzen 6000 mobile platform, bringing USB4 support to it. The chipset driver reportedly includes six new drivers, one of which adds USB 4 support for Windows 10/11, but only for the Ryzen 6000 mobile platform.

Moreover, USB4 is the latest version of the USB connection standard. It has undergone a large-scale upgrade to the USB 3.2 specification, and the bandwidth has been increased to 40Gbps, which is 3/4 of the speed of Thunderbolt.

In addition, AMD’s new chipset drivers bring a host of bug fixes and performance optimizations, most of which are available on all Ryzen platforms. Ryzen notebooks have already implemented USB4 support through the beta BIOS, and after testing, they can support the graphics dock through USB4.
