According to GPUOpen’s official push, the FSR 2.0 plug-in already supports Unreal Engine 5 and Unreal Engine 4.26/4.27. Game developers can support this technology for games, thereby lowering the hardware threshold for players to play.

AMD data shows that the number of games (including existing and upcoming games) that currently support FSR 2.0 has reached 22, including five recently announced upcoming games, namely “Abyss World” and “Killer 3”. “Live! “Rescue Operation”, “Super Humans” and “Callisto Protocol”, and today’s three games “Ghost Bridge”, “Memory Frontier” and “Little Tina’s Wonderland” are also officially announced to support FSR 2.0 in the near future.

When Unreal Engine 5/4 supports FSR 2.0, expect more games to join the ranks. In addition, Unreal Engine 5/4 also supports NVIDIA DLSS 2.0, so it is not a problem for the game to support both technologies at the same time.

FSR 2.0 will change from spatial scaling to a new generation of temporal scaling, which can provide better image quality than the original resolution, while also greatly improving anti-aliasing capabilities. Officially, FSR 2.0 can provide significantly higher image quality than FSR 1.0 at all quality mode presets and screen resolutions.

Unlike NVIDIA DLSS and Intel XeSS, AMD FSR 2.0 still does not use machine learning algorithms, which means it is compatible with a wider range of graphics cards, even non-AMD graphics cards.
