Apple iOS 16.5 open beta 2 rolling out with useful features

Apple has started rolling out the iOS 16.5 beta 2 update for the public beta testers. Eventually, here is an effective chance for non-developers to explore the new software and its features before the official launch.

Consequently, the American tech giant is pushing the Apple iOS 16.5 beta 2 two weeks after the first public beta. Users who have already enrolled in the free Apple beta testing program can get the latest version through the Settings menu in their handsets.

To do so, open the Settings app and select the General section. Now tap on the Software Update option, followed by the Beta Updates. Here, selecting the iOS 16 Public Beta option will bring you access to install the new build.

Accordingly, iOS 16.5 would appear as a minor upgrade over its predecessor. Yet, the firmware will bring useful enhancements and a few additions that will improve the overall user experience.

Currently, the feature list shows a screen recording command to Siri. This add-on will enable users to start or stop the recording of the screen, using a virtual assistant.

On the other hand, the update highlights a new Sports tab in the Apple News application. This is good information for users who have been demanding a dedicated room for sports inputs in the respective app.

In addition, we may also find a new quad-box picture-in-picture feature for the Apple TV app. As the name reflects, it will stream multiple sporting events at the same time. Perhaps, we are likely to obtain these thoughtful features with the stable release in May.
