watchOS 10 adds automatic Night Mode to Apple Watch Ultra

The newest watchOS 10 brings ultimate features on board, but it looks like some special tweaks are confined only to the Apple Watch Ultra, and one of them is the automatic Night Mode. Yes, the latest version brings a new element that will help you even in low-light conditions.

Accordingly, Apple Watch Ultra comes with advanced hardware components, including an exclusive part – Wayfinder. It’s a watch face with a clock bezel and shows the location and GPS-based data on the wearable’s screen.

With watchOS 10, the Wayfinder in Apple Watch Ultra is slightly changing its standard color mode to a black and red shade, showing a night mode look on the display. This is how the tech maker explains the newest addition:

The biggest and brightest Apple Watch display. The Always‑On Retina display is 2000 nits at its peak and twice as bright as any other Apple Watch. The bigger display provides more room for workout metrics and detail‑packed watch faces. The Wayfinder face lets you rotate the Digital Crown to activate Night Mode for better viewing in low-light situations.

Eventually, one can switch between two modes by spinning the watch’s crown. However, the overall process often becomes lengthy. As a result, the company has implemented the all-new auto Night Mode feature for Apple Watch Ultra with watchOS 10.

As per the details, this functionality utilizes the Watch Ultra’s ambient light sensor to configure when light levels are low to enable the Night mode. It’s good to see that the manufacturer has finally introduced such a feature for its wearable fans.
