Apple’s M2 chip version iPad Pro 2022 supports ProRes video recording for the first time

According to the latest report, Apple’s M2 chip version of the iPad Pro 2022 supports ProRes video recording for the first time, but users want to use this feature currently only through third-party applications because Apple’s native camera application does not seem to be available.

Moreover, the Apple M2 iPad Pro was released on October 18 and officially released on October 26. The first buyers are now starting to receive the new M2 iPad Pro and have noticed that ProRes is not a setting option for the camera.

Apple has yet to respond to a request for comment on whether this is a bug and whether the native camera app will be able to record ProRes video in a future update.

The new M2 iPad Pro, available in 11-inch and 12.9-inch versions, is powered by the M2 chip and supports the Apple Pencil (2nd generation) hover function. The 12.9-inch version features a mini-LED-backlit multi-touch display, and the 11-inch version features an LED-backlit multi-touch display.
