New display improvements might be coming to Apple MacBook Pro later this year

Apple supplier TSMT (Taiwan Watch Technology) is a key supplier involved in the production of mini-LED displays in the newly released 12.9-inch iPad Pro. It has been able to solve the upcoming 14 technical challenges of using mini-LED displays in the redesigned MacBook Pro models of inches and 16 inches.

According to DigiTimes, TSMT initially faced production restrictions on the circuit board and adhesive materials for the mini-LED display of the upcoming MacBook Pro model. However, after adjusting its technology, TSMT has increased its production yield to over 95%.

Redesigned 14-inch and 16-inch MacBook Pro models are expected to use the next-generation Apple silicon chips, cancel the Touch Bar, return to MagSafe magnetic power cords, and adopt a whole with HDMI port and SD card slot new design.

Since the release of the M1 chip in November last year, the excitement surrounding these new MacBook Pro models that will target high-end professional customers has been rising.

The next chip may adopt the M1X or M2 brand, which is expected to have significantly faster performance and greatly improved energy efficiency.
