WhatsApp will no longer be compatible with Apple devices running iOS 9 or previous

WhatsApp to drop support for iOS 10 and iOS 11 devices after October 24

WhatsApp is a popular messaging application that allows users to send and receive text messages and voice messages, make voice and video calls, and share images, documents, user locations, and other content.

This messaging service runs on both Android as well as iOS devices and provides a bunch of easy sharing options to interact with people. According to the latest news, WhatsApp has just recently published a new support document for iOS users.

As per the document of WhatsApp, the company has ended the support for the application on the devices running iOS 9 or earlier. This means, to use WhatsApp on your iOS device it would be released in 2016 or at least be running on iOS 10.

The iPhone 4s users have been running the iOS 9 on their device while the iPhone 5 or later are completely compatible with using WhatsApp. Last year, this Facebook-owned instant messaging service has ended the support for the iPhones and iPads running iOS 8.

Well, there might not be many users of iOS 9 but if you have been using the device running iOS 9 and have lost the support for using WhatsApp then it is recommended to back up your data. You can then use the saved data of WhatsApp in the other compatible device.
