After installing the major OxygenOS 13 update, my OnePlus 10 Pro smartphone acted weirdly due to a bug. Because it has lapsed a feature that was there for a long time and has been the most effective to use in this operating system.
Following the update, the auto brightness button on OnePlus 10 Pro vanished from the notification shade, after the latest OxygenOS 13 upgrade, due to an unknown bug. It was quite shocking to see that happen.
As you can see in the screenshot, the tab beside the brightness slider disappeared. If someone needs to increase the screen brightness by sliding the bar, they have to go back again into the core settings menu by Display and Brightness to access the Auto Brightness tab.
That’s not a problem for a few users, but many OnePlus 10 Pro owners reported the same. While exploring the community platform, we came across a handful of consumers asking for a solution for the respective issue.
A more shocking point is users carrying devices other than the flagship model, are not facing any such issue in their phones.
“I have an issue with my OxygenOS 13, it seems that the auto brightness button is missing from the drawer. I noticed this problem for all people that I know with OnePlus 10 Pro 5G. While the OnePlus 8T is OK with the new OS.”
Well, bugs and glitches are usual to see in any developing software or feature that could appear at any time. Since OnePlus is continuously adding new features to OxygenOS, we can expect these minor glitches to shock us, just like this one.
OnePlus Auto-Brightness is a useful feature that allows the setting of the screen brightness automatically by the system in response to the ambient light sensor reading.
Though there is no answer from the company side on this matter, we anticipate that OnePlus will soon consider this issue and will bring a fix to it.
