Amazon Alexa coming to some Lenovo notebooks bringing Show Mode smart screensaver

Amazon announced today that it will bring the “Show Mode” smart screensaver function of the Alexa application on some Lenovo laptops. This feature was first launched on a PC at the beginning of this year. It displays a specific interface on the computer screen, and users can interact through the Alexa voice assistant.

This function can display weather, calendar, schedule, etc. on the screen, but through the voice assistant, you can create to-do items, request weather information, play music, and even control smart home operations.

Lenovo said that they have launched this feature in cooperation with Amazon, similar to a screensaver interface, and has been optimized to reduce the power consumption of the notebook.

Amazon’s Alexa Show Mode function will be launched in the United States, the United Kingdom, Germany, Japan, India, Ireland, Austria, Canada, France, Italy, Spain, Australia, and New Zealand.

Supported devices include Lenovo Yoga, IdeaPad, and ThinkPad For notebooks, the new products of these series will be pre-installed with Alexa App when they leave the factory. Lenovo said it will bring this feature to other devices later this year.
