A new leak reveals the battery capacity of the Galaxy S21+/S30+

An early leak has revealed the battery capacity of the successor of the Samsung Galaxy S20+. The next flagship may come with a 4800mAh battery. The successor of the Samsung’s Galaxy S20 Ultra will likely get a similar battery capacity.

The Galaxy S20 and S20+ have the bigger battery capacity over their predecessors. The Galaxy S20 comes with a 600mAh larger battery than the Galaxy S10, the Galaxy S20+ has a 400mAh larger battery than the Galaxy S10+.

Thanks to GalaxyClub, who spotted a new Samsung battery with the model number EB-BG996ABY. Samsung could use this battery in the Galaxy S21+ or S30+. The battery has a rated capacity of 4,660mAh, which is 290mAh more than the rated capacity of the Galaxy S20+. This means the Galaxy S21+/S30+ battery may have a typical capacity of around 4,800mAh. The Galaxy S20+ battery model number is EB-BG986ABY.

The next Galaxy S series is also likely to use a more efficient LTPO display, like the Galaxy Note 20 Ultra. A recent report also claimed that the Galaxy S21 series will not have a ToF sensor. The company could also use an improved 108MP primary camera with a laser autofocus module on the Galaxy S21 Ultra.

Samsung’s Galaxy S30 series is expected to debut in February next year.
