With the release of the DP2 of the upcoming Android 12, the folks over XDADevelopers have played with the internal code of the preview and found some interesting info that will make Pixel lovers happy.

As we are waiting for Apple to exclude notch in their iPhones and Samsung phones to come with an under-display camera, at the same time we also want to see the upcoming Pixel phones featuring an in-display fingerprint scanner.

The developer has found evidence that reveals Google’s plan for the upcoming Pixels, there are several new classes found in the code in the SystemUIGoogle app and there was one named UdfspControllerGoogle. Here the Udfs means ‘under-display fingerprint support’ which shows that this functionality is under development with Google.

While the evidence is not fully conclusive and we require more news regarding this feature. But the expectation says that the next-gen Google Pixel should have an in-display fingerprint scanner. But there is still some time in the upcoming Google phone. So, let’s wait and watch if this piece of information becomes true or remains the wish.
