Asus released ROG Phone 5 earlier this year, but it is not available in many countries/regions outside of China and Europe. The phone was recently launched in India, and now Asus has finally brought it to the United States at a high price of $999.99.
ROG Phone 5 is one of the most powerful Android phones currently available, equipped with Snapdragon 888 chipset, front stereo speakers, 6.78-inch large 144Hz AMOLED screen, up to 16GB RAM, and 256GB storage space, 6,000mAh battery, virtual AirTrigger button Wait.
Many other devices this year use the same Snapdragon 888 chipset, such as Galaxy S21 and Asus’ own ZenFone 8, but ROG Phone 5 can still achieve better performance through its rich RAM, software adjustments, and better heat dissipation.

Currently, Asustek only sells entry-level ROG Phone 5-Pro and Ultimate variants in the US until sometime in the third quarter of this year. The basic model with 256GB of storage space and 16GB of RAM is priced at US$999.99 on the Asus online store. It is advertised as compatible with GSM networks such as AT&T and T-Mobile (sorry, Verizon users), and ASUS recently updated the phone to support T-Mobile’s VoLTE. ROG Phone 5 is already a niche product that is more attractive to anyone interested in smartphone games than choosing Nintendo Switch, but the $1,000 list price may still scare away some potential buyers-especially when The same processor and graphics can be found in the phone at a price of $700.
Unfortunately, it seems that the AeroActive Cooler 5 accessories are not included in the purchased product, so you have to spend an extra $69.99 (the discount is $62.99 at the time of publication). The ROG Kunai 3 gamepad is also purchased separately for US$149.99 (now discounted to US$134.99), but you can bundle it with ROG Phone 5 for US$1,039.99 (only US$40 higher than the phone itself!)
