OnePlus has started the new year with the blasting launch of the dynamic OnePlus 11 smartphone. The company has offered the first flagship of this year to the consumer market with iconic and interesting features. But despite being a high-end device, OnePlus 11 lacks wireless charging ability.

Yes, that’s true! We are in 2023, where every tech giant is trying to build its gadgets with ultimate technologies. Manufacturers are looking for such ways that can help them to impose every new and tech-pack mechanism to their devices. However, it looks like that’s not the case with OnePlus 11.

For your information, wireless charging plays an essential role in the smartphone. Eventually, it helps in the transmission of energy from a power outlet to your device without the need for a connecting cable. Doing so requires a transmitting pad or stand, and a receiver (already in-built into phones).

If we go into flashbacks, many OnePlus devices possess a wireless charging facility. On the flip side, the other brands also provide support for this beneficial mechanism to their handsets. Yet, what has stopped the Chinese manufacturer to implement wireless charging in the high-profiled OnePlus 11 is still a question.

Although, the company has forged some of the best techs in its latest model. Besides, the tech maker always remained in fame for its powerful charging. And to be mentioned, OnePlus 11 regular wired charging is better than wireless charging.

Benefits of the OnePlus device’s regular wired charging:

  • It is significantly faster than wireless charging – you get a full charge in just a few minutes.
  • You can still pick up your phone to make a call or play a game while it continues to charge
  • It doesn’t heat your phone unlike wireless charging causing damage to the battery and other components
  • Wireless charging often results in a significant amount of energy lost/wasted, compared to wired charging.

Alongside these benefits, the wireless charging pad requires a wire! So why not plug it directly into the phone instead and save yourself the cost of wireless technology?

Well, OnePlus 11 supports 100W super fast charging. Thus, the lack of wireless charging doesn’t make any huge difference. What are your thoughts on this matter? Let us know in the comment section.
