The video shows the Nothing Phone 1 being placed inside a plexiglass cover, and while the front of the phone is still not visible, the video shows that certain areas on the back of the phone glow, especially the ring around the camera module and some components on the top and bottom.

It is not clear under what circumstances the light effect on the back of the phone will be triggered, and it is speculated that it is most likely a notification or a phone call.

Many phones have notification lights on the front, for example, the OnePlus 10 Pro has something called Horizon Lights that can be programmed to light up the edges of the phone in different colors when a notification is received. The Galaxy S22 phones also have a similar edge lighting feature for notification reminders.

Moreover,  Nothing Phone (1) is the first mobile phone under the Nothing Technologies company founded by OnePlus co-founder Carl Pei. It is planned to be launched in India on July 12, with a transparent back shell design.

It is reported that the Nothing Phone (1) uses a 6.55-inch FHD+ OLED screen with a refresh rate of 90Hz. It is powered by a Snapdragon 7 Gen 1 processor, has a 50-megapixel main camera, and may be powered by a 4500mAh battery that supports 45W fast charging via a USB Type-C charging port.
