Huawei has already released the Mate 40 lineup back in October last year with four models namely Huawei Mate 40, Mate 40 Pro, Mate 40 Pro+, and Mate 40 RS. And now the latest news coming regarding the series (Via – Huawei Central), is that the lineup will soon get a new member that will be Huawei Mate 40E.
This lower-end model has recently passed the wireless charging certification under the model number OCE-AN00 and also received the network access certification in China. According to tipster DigitalChatStation, the Mate 40E was expected to come with a 50MP IMX 700 main camera but due to the shortage of components, this will now be changed to a 64MP lens.
The new sensor will have an OV64A sensor, a single-pixel size of 1um, support for 4-in-1 pixel up to 2um, three exposures, HDR, on-chip combination, and the tone mapping to provide stable and high-quality shots and videography.
As per the other leaks, the Mate 40E will sport a 6.5-inch OLED display with 2376 x 1080p resolution, a powerful processor that could be Kirin 990 5G. Although as of now there is no official confirmation regarding the handset. And we’ll keep you posted on further info regarding the device, till then stay tuned.
