A new leak reveals everything about the Huawei P40 Pro’s camera

Huawei will announce the Huawei P40 series on March 26, in Paris, France. A well-known tipster from Weibo (via Huawei Central) has revealed some of the camera specs for the Huawei P40 Pro including the main sensor, and camera color matrix.

It’s expected that the Huawei P40 Pro will come with a custom IMX700 CMOS sensor with a 1/1.28-inch size and 1.22 μm pixel unit.

The sensor will adopt the RYYB color filter, which will help it pass more light to the main sensor for brighter images in low light scenarios. While the main camera will be 52 Megapixel.

According to the previous reports, the top model of Huawei P40 series will come with five rear cameras consisting of a 52MP main camera, a 40MP Cine camera/ultra wide-angle camera, a Periscope Telephoto camera with 10X optical zoom, a 3X telephoto camera, and a ToF camera.
