Just recently we were talking about the official announcement of OnePlus’ CEO which said that the new OnePlus 9 models will be coming with pre-installed ColorOS 11 in China. It seems that the company has already started transitioning the operating system from HydrogenOS to Oppo’s ColorOS in the country.
According to the latest news, the OnePlus 8 device users in the country can get the taste of ColorOS in the form of beta. While as of now, there is not much revealed for this beta update rolling out for the OnePlus devices.
OnePlus phones run on two operating systems comes which are HydrogenOS for the smartphone in China and the other is OxygenOS which is operated in the rest of the world. Meanwhile, now the company is switching to Oppo’s ColorOS for its OnePlus phones in the home country which is also confirmed by the CEO.
The company also said that HydrogenOS will continue to get support for the past devices. Further, the Chinese devices will be getting a customized version of the ColorOS that will be specifically built for the OnePlus smartphones.
For those who are unaware, the OnePlus was founded by the Pete Lau and Carl Pei who were previously working for Oppo. The company is using the resources and production line from Oppo. And now, it will also be sharing its operating system with the company, the interested OnePlus 8 users can also try can try the beta of ColorOS.
