OnePlus 9R 5G launched with Snapdragon 870, OxygenOS 11, starting at 39,999 INR

OnePlus has finally launched the most awaited flagship smartphones under the OnePlus 9 series. There are three new phones launched in the lineup which are the OnePlus 9, 9 Pro, and 9R.

While the OnePlus 9 and 9 Pro are the high-end devices of the series while the OnePlus 9R is the lower end model which comes with a Snapdragon 870 processor in comparison with the Snapdragon 888 of the other two models.

The smartphone is launched exclusively for the Indian market with an affordable price tag of 39,999 INR. Below you can check the specifications of this handset along with the price and availability.

Display and Processor

OnePlus 9R sports a 6.55-inch 120Hz Fluid AMOLED display which supports an sRGB and Display P3 along with Corning Gorilla Glass protection. The smartphone is powered by the Snapdragon 870 chipset that is almost equal to the Snapdragon 865.

Camera

Coming to the camera, the device equips a quad rear camera setup with a 48MP main camera, a 16MP camera for ultra-wide shots, a 5MP macro lens, and a 2MP monochrome shooter with an LED flash. For selfies, it has a 16MP camera.

Software and Battery

In terms of software, the OnePlus 9R comes pre-installed with the latest Android 11 based OxygenOS 11 which is the latest version of UI and is currently releasing for other OnePlus devices. It packs a 4500mAh battery with the support for 65W fast charging.

Connectivity and Ports

The handset supports 5G connectivity along with dual 4G VoLTE, while the other connectivity options include WiFi 6, Bluetooth 5.1, NFC, and GPS. It has a USB Type-C port for charging and data transfer, while the device lacks a 3.5mm headphone jack which is disappointing.

OnePlus 9R is available in two different colors which are Lake Blue and Carbon Black. While the handset comes in 8GB/128GB and 12GB/256GB of storage variants. The phone comes with a starting price of 39,999 INR.
