Redmi K40 receives BIS certificate, India launch imminent

Back in January, Xiaomi confirmed that the Redmi K40 series will be launched in February. Recently, the company’s MD announced that the Redmi K40 will be unveiled on February 25.

According to the latest news, Redmi K40 with model number M2012K11AI listed on the BIS certification site that hints it will soon hit the Indian market.

On the other hand, Redmi K40 has recently spotted on China’s TENAA site, which exposed the images of the upcoming phone. Moreover, after its launch in China, Xiaomi will expand this lineup for other regions.

Previous reports reveal that the Redmi K40 may feature an OLED panel with a perforated design. It is said that it will be equipped with a 64-megapixel main camera and can support 5x zoom.

Furthermore, the leaked images showed that one of the main differences between the Redmi K40 and Redmi K40 Pro is its processor. The standard model is supported by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 870 SoC, while the Pro model is supported by the Snapdragon 888. 

The upcoming Redmi K40 can be equipped with dual stereo speakers and a long-lasting battery of around 4500mAh. We’ll surely receive further information regarding them as soon as they come closer to launch, till then stay tuned.
