Back in 2020, Xiaomi introduced the Redmi K30S smartphone, which was the rebranded version of Mi 10T. Similarly, it was expected that the newly launched Xiaomi 11T will be debuted as Redmi K40S smartphones in China. Meanwhile, the new information denies.
According to a report by Mydrivers, the general manager of Redmi said to a Mi user that there isn’t any Redmi K40S smartphone but the company is planning to release the Redmi K50 lineup.

In addition, a famous Weibo tipster, DigitalChatStation also revealed the same. He said that Redmi K40S hasn’t appeared at Chinese certification sites, which means there is no K40S in the country.
Xiaomi fans may have been waiting for a Redmi device to be launched with Snapdragon 888 chipset. But it seems that the company is unlikely to launch a K40 with a snapdragon 888 processor, instead, the tech giant is planning for Xiaomi 12 and Redmi K50.
Redmi K50 Launch:
Some reports reveal that Redmi K50 will be released before the Spring Festival 2022. If you don’t know, Spring Festival is another name for the Chinese New Year, which will fall on February 1, 2022.
This information makes sense as the Redmi K series smartphones usually launch in the first half of the year, except for the K30 and K30 5G, which were uncovered in late December.
