The first Galaxy Xcover Pro was released in January 2020, two years ago. The phone has a 1080p+ LCD display, 4GB RAM, 64GB storage, Exynos 9611, 4050mAh battery and other mid-range specs. So, that phone did not win any awards for performance or features, but it did not matter.

According to the recent report, Samsung is currently working on the phone with the model number SM-G736B. The first was the Xcover Pro SM-G715F, while the Xcover 5 last year appeared under the model number SM-G525F. The Galaxy Xcover Pro 2 model number – ending in ‘B’ – also makes it clear that this is a 5G phone. This Galaxy Xcover Pro 2 is Samsung’s first rugged device with 5G connectivity.

Currently, any specs are not available for this new Xcover phone, but we can expect the specs to be in the mid-range for the 2022 standards. The display is likely to be 1080p+ and may have a slight increase in RAM to keep up with the new operating system.

More details about this new Galaxy Xcover Pro should be revealed as the official release is approaching. Information that this phone will be released in the summer.
