Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 5 will continue to use same camera as Z Fold 4: Tipster

Posted on

Samsung has launched the Galaxy S23 series with an ultimate lens module upgrade. But looks like, that won’t be the case with the upcoming foldable gadgets. Consequently, Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 5 will use the same camera module as the one in the Z Fold 4.

According to @UniverseIce tipster, Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 5 will bring on the same camera (primary) as the Galaxy Z Fold 4. In addition, the source noted that the HP2 camera installation in the next Fold is impossible, suggesting the sensor’s exclusivity to Galaxy S23 Ultra throughout the year.

Eventually, the leak hints that the Galaxy Z Fold 5 could be equal to its sequel in the camera department. However, it’s also reported that the primary camera sensor will remain the same. And the company might bring new Telephoto and ultrawide lenses with the Fold5.

To recall, the Galaxy Z Fold4 uses an ISOCELL GN3 sensor, featuring a 50-megapixel resolution. Further,  it includes an f/1.8 aperture, 1.0-micron pixels, and benefits from Dual Pixel PDAF (Phase Detection Auto Focus) and OIS (Optical Image Stabilization).

Since the standard and Plus variants of Galaxy S23 models don’t have upgraded primary cameras, Samsung did a pretty impressive job by enhancing the algorithm code. We hope, the same will happen with the Galaxy Z Fold5 and the company may amaze fans with software-derived tricks.
