Samsung’s plan to launch under display camera in Galaxy S21 failed

With the ZTE Axon 20, we’ve already seen the phones with an under-display camera feature. This technology improves immersion when using content and the camera hole remains invisible until it’s not used.

As per the information from the Korean media, Samsung’s plan to install an under-display camera in the Galaxy S21 series has failed. The company delayed the UDC (Under Display Camera) application because of its low production.

Previously, Samsung expected to apply UDC from the Galaxy Z Fold 2 but it’s not been the reality. It looks like the company planning to launch its upcoming foldable smartphone, Galaxy Z Fold 3 (unconfirmed name) with an under-display camera. This new foldable device is expected to launch in the second half of 2021.
